The following is from KESTREL, a post apocalyptic dystopian WIP from NaNo 2011:

The demon snarled at me from behind the man’s eyes. His jaw showed a tendency to twitch, but other than that the refugee seemed oblivious to the long-toothed reptilian inside him. I had the same choice I always had—declare the man possessed and doom him to death, or lie and take my chances.
