My mother’s birthday falls on March 16, a day before St. Patrick’s Day, and her favorite color was green. While I was growing up, both of us usually acquired a new green outfit at this time. The finery served for spring, St. Paddy’s Day, and Easter. Here we are, Mama and I, so many years ago.
