Last week’s post showcased a secondary character, the ghost Hyge. Today let’s see how he reacts when Kelly enlists his help in entering a dark dimension to rescue her Viking lover Ingvar. Hyge looks like the Freddie Kruger actor, Robert Englund–not made up, but in his regular appearance.
“Hyge, we may need to fight our way in or out, or both. Are you ready
to do so if we have to, or would you rather stay here and have Svob go with me?”
“Missy, I say bring on any scrap you can conjure up.”
“You got it. That works for me. Protect Epona, you understand, Hyge?”
He scuffed a toe on the ground as if reluctant to take on responsibility for a goddess.
“Aye.”
Kelly continued. “Also, you see these two green lines between us and your pals?”
“I see them. Quaint little worrisome things.”
Oooh, what are the worrisome things? I want to know more! And I’m loving Hyge!!
Interesting hook. I’m with Sarah, wondering what the worrisome things are…
I loved this, Flossie, and I join Sarah in need to know what are the worrisome things! A great hook again!
That’s it, I have to start reading this book right away! I’m hooked!
Oh, I want to know more about those green lines! Great hook! 🙂

Yup, yup..I second everyone….must know more about the worrisome things. Nice hook, great job.
Have to agree with the others here… those worrisome things got to me, too.
You are a tease:-) What are those worrisome things?
Nicely done. But what are those worrisome things?
Like everyone else, those “worrisome things” have hooked me into coming back for more. 🙂
I’m joining in the worriers about the worrisome things…great hook!
Loved the hook 🙂 Nice job!
Great hook! I have a feeling “little worrisome things” might be a bit of an understatement…
Loved that last line!
Very nice hook, Flossie! Maybe you’ll tell us more about these green lines next week?? *hint hint*
