Last week’s post depicted faery witch Kelly’s distress over her lover Ingvar’s capture and her first encounter with the ghostly version of Hyge in ancient Norway. This week let’s take a further peek at the rascally thug, Hyge. I picture him as the Freddie Kruger actor, Robert Englund–not made up, but in his regular appearance. See him here.
“Hey there now,” Hyge admonished. “Your innards want tending. What you need is
some food, little girl. The cook makes some real fine pottage. Sticks to your
gullet. Why not get yourself in there and have some before you set out trying to get your
man back?”
Happy Birthday to my beloved Ronnie.
This is a great idea.
‘Sticks to your gullet…’ Nice! LOL
Love the way he talks. Good hook.
Ha! You had me at “your innards need tending…” great dialogue!!
Love the way he talks! Nice hook.
Love the character’s voice here! Great hook! 🙂
You have the character down…great hook!
What a world!
I like Hyge. I thought he would help when I read the last snippet and am glad to see that happening. A great snippet.
Sensible advice 🙂
He doesn’t seem that rascally or thuggish to me…unless he’s trying to fatten her up to eat her! I kinda like him!
LOL I love it. Fab job, Flossie!
What a good idea of post the pic. 🙂 Fabulous hook, Flossie.
Definitely an original! “Love innards need tending…” I can honestly say I’ve never read that line anywhere before. Great job.
Oops…can’t type. That was supposed to say “Your innards need tending.” OK, I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. Have fun!
Hmm, there is something sinister about him I reckon… great hook!
Is he trying to fatten her up to eat her? LOL!
I thought Englund was great in Phantom.
