This snippet hails from Wytchfae – Runes and is from the perspective of the Viking Ingvar as he is held captive in the dim dimension of the Grims:

Ingvar righted himself on the edge of the table, sitting at attention and extending  his backbone as tall as straight as possible. He shook his head once to clear it, and sealed upon his face a stoic warrior’s mien. He refused to surrender to fear. He would do what he did best–fight. If he could not at the moment use his body for this unholy battle, then he would use his mind. Odin, I plead with you, do not let them sweep away my remembrances of Kelly.

  1. Very interesting. I don’t know much about Norse mythology, but you have me intrigued. Sounds like this will be an epic battle 🙂

  2. The image alone does it for me but it’s a strong piece of writing.. I like..xx
