Cocktail Saturday: Black Annis

Black Annis Cocktail

Who’s to say the terrifying Black Annis with her red eyes and black heart doesn’t deserve her own cocktail? I thought of absinthe in connection with her, but then I remembered a dark colored drink we recently had when a friend of mine visited from North Carolina. When we tried different vodka flavors, Kay really liked the double espresso vodka. I remembered its deep, dark color and slam bam taste. The following concoction lends itself to images of Black Annis. fbr&K2013

Ingredients:

2 ounces Pinnacle Double Espresso Vodka

2 ounces Chocolate Liqueur

Chocolate covered coffee beans

Maraschino cherries

Cocoa powder and ground cinnamon mixed

Directions:

Rim a cocktail glass with a dusting of cinnamon and cocoa powder. Combine vodka and liqueur in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to blend and chill. Strain into prepared cocktail glass. Garnish with a floating chocolate covered coffee bean and maraschino cherry. Don’t think about Black Annis’ red eyeballs! Vodkapinnacle_le_double_espresso

  1. I think this concoction might end up giving me heart palpitations, LOL! Fitting for something that ties in Black Annis. The old girl is really getting a workout this week 🙂 BTW, great photo!
