Book Review: A Little Kringle Magic

5 STARS

HEARTWARMING HOLIDAY LOVE STORY

Title: A Little Kringle Magic

Author:  Loretta C. Rogers

Published – November 29, 2021

Genre – Historical Romance 1880

Sub-Genre – Holiday Romance

Setting – a small town in 1880 Wyoming

Heroine – Bea Inseldorf, no-nonsense frontier doctor who longs for a home and family.

Hero – Tate Reed, widower struggling to find life’s meaning and make ends meet.

Other characters – Holly, the little daughter of Tate; neighbors Clive and Martha Jimson.

Major Themes – Taking a chance on committing to another person can change lives for the better.

Descriptors – I love this story so much. It is a short, quick read with plenty of layers and details to show a full picture of Bea and Tate, as well as his little daughter, Holly, and the other characters of the town. The medicinal and healing treatments described are so interesting. The main conflict is within the characters, as they acknowledge their attraction to one another and try to figure out what changes they are brave enough to make in their lives. The Krispy Kringle cookies are an added element of charm and magic in this heartwarming Christmas story that can be enjoyed during all seasons.

Favorite Supporting Character – Holly, who loves her dad above all and also longs for a mom.

Fun Tidbit- A delicious recipe at the end is always a bonus. Can’t beat cookies!

Memorable Line- Snow continued to feather down. The land was completely white and silent. A Christmas fairyland.
