PurpleVodkaTo get into a celebratory mood, here is a virtual cocktail made from a new purple liqueur containing grape flavored vodka. I received a bottle for Christmas, and it was not only gorgeous—like a pearlized lava light—but also tasty. I can see the Wytchfae heroine Garnet McAnna of Lord of Fire indulging in just such a cocktail after a harrowing demon chase and Gabriel, also known as The Hawk, preparing it for her just to please her. Here’s to you, beloved readers—Wassail!
Lord of Fire – Wytchfae 5
When The Hawk meets his Wytchfae, the result is spontaneous combustion.

  1. Skol, Flossie! NOROC in my language.

A happy anniversary for you and the SCP blog hop!

Lord of Fire is a book worth every bit of readers’ time.I loved the main characters, Garnet McAnna, who is not an usual Wytchfae, and I loved the Hawk, who is devastatingly mesmerizing.
And speaking of an unusual Wytchfae, for sure Garnet will enjoy a glass of your interesting looking drink. As I wrote in the review it’s a novel that Icombines adventure, magic and a really gripping story-line!

  2. Hi Flossie, just popping in to wish you and SCP a happy anniversary and best wishes for many more years. 😉

  3. Hey Flossie–do you have the recipe for it or is it just straight? I like lime-flavored vodka–it diminishes the need for Rose’s lime juice (aka calories). Happy hopping! Meredith

    1. I like lime flavored too, M.S., for the same reason, and also non calorie lime water and other flavored waters. That was the first time I had the grape vodka or even heard of it. It was such a pretty purple. We just had it over ice, but I have seen other recipes for it now on FB.
